Meet other local people who experience panic attacks, social anxiety, general anxiety, agoraphobia, PTSD, and/or any other type of panic disorders. Share your feelings and experiences with others who suffer in a similar way in a non-judgmental, supportive and nurturing environment. Or, if you prefer, just listen in, receive others or share your own personal coping strategies.
It is the intention of the group that gathering together in itself will create a community that will empower and uplift its members through mutual understanding. As it is just launching, it is a work in progress which will hopefully be shaped by participants as we go along. Support groups abound on virtually every topic, but somehow it is rare to find one on Panic Disorders despite its prevalence amongst all walks of life.
My hope and vision is for this group to grow and develop over time to meet a strong need in the community.
